LIBARARY

The college library has a collection of about 10,000 books on various fields of knowledge. The library has also a reading room where news paper and journals are available for reading. A resource center for faculty members and researchers has also been established in the library where internet facility is available. Encyclopedias and many useful CDs on various subjects are available in the American Discovery Centre of the library, which was donated by the US Embassy.

Library Rules:
  • College library books shall not be lent to outsiders.

  • Maximum of 5 books can be issued to the teaching staff for a period of one month. However, they can retain the books for full academic year if more copies of the books are available.

  • Students can borrow one book at a time for a period of 14 days. This period can be extended further after the physical presentation of the book.

  • Reference books cannot be issued, however these can be consulted in the library during working hours.

  • A book lost or damaged in any way shall have to be replaced by the borrower otherwise an amount equal to triple of the current price of the book shall be charged.

  • A fine of Rs. 2/- per day per book will be imposed on overdue books.

  • Students shall borrow the books after showing their identity card. Every borrower shall be responsible for the books drawn by him.

  • Sanctity of library requires complete silence. Strict action shall be taken for any breach of sanctity.

  • The library books borrowed by the students must be returned at least 3 days before the commencement of preparatory leave for annual examination.

  • All books on loan with the borrowers shall be returned before stock-checking.

  • Student must be in college uniform during Library hours.

  • Outsider shall not be allowed in the library without written permission of the Principal.
