Imagine the world without electricity, television, computer, cellphone etc. Of course, the imagination itself is too difficult. All these technologies that you face and use everyday, involve complex algorithms, which are possible due to mathematics. Infact mathematics is the need of human beings. It is the subject that is applied to every field and profession. It is the engine of modern technology. Mathematics is the key to all sciences. According to Galileo, "Mathematics is the language with which God wrote the universe". The aim of Mathematics Department GC Skardu is to make the learners able to understand the language of mathematics to discover the universe, to enhance learners' analytical problem solving skills, to create the basis of systematic thinking, to expend and to build better brains and to provide researchers to the Nation.

Mr. Muhammad Younus Sharif (Lecturer)
Biography:
Mr Muhammad Younus Sharif is a Lecturer at GC Skardu. He completed his bachelor degree from University of Karachi, Master degree from FUUAST Karachi and M.Phil degree from University of Sindh. Being a researcher, he conducted his research work in the field of "Matching in Graph Theory" for the fulfilment of above stated degree. He started his career in teaching from Al-Asr HSS Kohat in 2007. Later he joined Public School and College Skardu. He joined the Govt sector in 2011 as an EST. In 2019, he was appointed as a Lecturer in Mathematics by FPSC. Since then, he has been rendering his services at GC Skardu and teaching different courses of mathematics at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. We wish him good luck for his future ahead.
