According to James Garner; "Political Science begins and ends with state."Thus,one can say that the main purpose of studying and teaching Political science is to provide the students an understanding about the origin,evolution and structure of a state. Furthermore ;a governing body for regulating the institutions of a state and finally chalk out the channels and methods for electing such a governing body. Additionally the subject also provides a deep understanding of national and international community, socio-political and economic spheres for the students. It also examines some of the critical issues of modern times, including the changing nature of international cooperation and conflict, the impact of globalization upon states and societies and the persistence of world problems such as poverty, migration and drug trafficking.
